um, right - did they just say Jeff Fucking Mangum?

not to sound a douche but chris, if your stroke ends up ultimately getting this guy into a studio to produce God knows what then hopefully you feel it was in some way worth it for the good of Mankind.

i will be buying this record, (GREAT title btw!), and should such events unfold will donate a large sum of cash to you or any charity you desire. holy shit Jeff Mangum.

I got into Chris music from talks with Jay Reatard, and the Kiwi Tapes blog, he is a greatly talented song writer, and musician, and I wish him a speedy and successful recovery. I haven't seen anything as far as donations go, but is there a place we can donate, we we so inclined to do so? Get well, Chris

I read about Chris's stroke on pitchfork.com. I'm a 30 year old from New York who suffered a stroke in March. At first my prognosis was unclear; I couldn't walk or spell or add or remember how to tie my shoes. . . . But now, four months later, aside from a loss of sensation in my right hand, I'm completely fine. Therapy is a pain, but it's worth the effort. Anyway, hang in there.

Chris and family and friends:

I talked to my dad, who also had a massive stroke for some advice. It is:

Keep doing the physical therapy. If you find yourself going standing still or even going backwards, keep doing the physical therapy.

He says, "At first, I only could get two or three words on the crossword puzzle. But now I can finish it!"

Hope this helps. Really enjoying the new Nothing CD, which I just got.

take care, and my thoughts are with all ya'll
